David Campbell Jr.

Solar Project Manager

Dave has been a solar enthusiast since 1998, living off-grid in Mexico, first at the National Outdoor Leadership School, then on a boat, and then in a house he built, wired, and powered with solar. Dave holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from MIT and served as an officer in the US Navy. He has taken various courses from Solar Energy International, worked in solar sales and design in the Bay Area, and sold, designed, and installed off-grid and grid-tied solar systems in Baja California Sur. Dave has been with Frederickson Electric since 2016, Dave joined the Frederickson Electric team as an electrical apprentice, and moved to a Solar Project Manager role in 2018. He lives in Port Townsend and enjoys sailing with his family and riding his bike to work.

Brian Thornberry

Solar Project Manager

Brian was born and raised in Washington and has always had a strong interest in helping create a sustainable world. It was during an eye-opening international backpacking trip that he realized that he had an incredible opportunity to return home and use his passion in sustainability, to help strengthen the communities he grew up in while helping preserve the natural wonders of the region. Brian holds a bachelor’s in business with a concentration in Sustainable Business Management, and has completed various courses with Solar Energy International. Brian’s excited to meet and help folks that are interested in exploring the benefits of clean and efficient energy.

Krista Myers

Solar Project Manager

Krista has eight years of project management experience, with a BS in Earth Sciences and a MS in Geology and Geophysics, and has completed various courses with Solar Energy International. Before entering the solar industry, Krista worked as a researcher in Antarctica for seven seasons working on the frozen lakes of the McMurdo Dry Valleys. Additionally, Krista worked as a Community Engagement Coordinator for a building electrification project in Santa Cruz, CA, and was an Event Coordinator with The Production Alliance in Port Townsend.  Krista is passionate about electrifying the Olympic Peninsula, and she serves on the City of Port Townsend Climate Action Committee. In her spare time she enjoys getting takeout food from 123-Thai Food, biking, and gardening.

Gene Africa

Lead Solar Electrician

Born in Port Townsend, Gene is a journey level electrician with 15 years of experience and has installed over 4MW of solar in Oregon and Washington since 2011.  Gene completed the Renewable Energy Technician Program in Eugene, OR and his apprenticeship in Portland, OR.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family. 

Ethan Jentzsch

Solar Electrician

Ethan started installing solar in 2020 and has been a residential electrician since 2022.  He lives in Chimacum in an off-grid solar powered home, and enjoys working in and giving back the community that he lives in.

Kyle Tibert

Solar Electrician Trainee

Kyle joined the Cascadia Solar team in 2021 after installing solar in Seattle and New Mexico. Kyle studied Sustainable Energy Technology at Montana Tech, and enjoys spending time with his family.  

Jeremy Anderson

Solar Electrician Trainee

Born in Port Townsend, Jeremy joined the Cascadia Solar team in 2023 after working on local farms and doing landscaping across the Olympic Peninsula.  Jeremy spends his free time trail running and ski mountaineering in the winter.
