Why Go Solar?

More and more people are discovering solar energy in Washington State, and there has never been a better time to invest in solar electricity. Cascadia Solar is committed to helping our customers participate in the renewable energy future by building high quality, high performance, and attractive solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for homes, businesses, and public buildings.

Solar PV systems generate electricity directly from sunlight using no moving parts, offering renewable energy that is virtually maintenance free for your home or commercial business. A surprising amount of solar energy is waiting to be harnessed in western Washington, particularly during our long summer days. Germany is the world leader in utilization of solar energy, with a climate similar to ours.

Sell Extra Power Back to the Power Utility.

Washington State’s net metering law allows you to connect your solar installation directly to the power grid. When your grid-tied solar system is generating more power than your home or business uses, the excess power goes back to the grid and you will be credited for this power production on your utility bill.

Considering that solar modules can produce energy for more than 40 years, the quality of the installation is critical. We specialize in building reliable grid-tied PV systems using components that are made to last. We have combined our considerable experience installing and maintaining electrical systems with a substantial amount of research and training in solar industry best practices to offer worry-free solar power to our customers.

We are a full-service commercial and residential solar power systems electrical contractor.

Take Advantage of 30% Federal Tax Credit on Solar PV System Installation

Residential and commercial customers who install solar electric systems qualify for a federal income tax credit equal to 30% of the cost of their solar PV system under the Investment Tax Credit. This tax credit is available thru December 2032. In 2033 the tax credit drops to 22%. In 2034 the credit goes away for residential systems and drops to a permanent 10% for commercial and utility systems.

Take Advantage of State Incentives

Currently, grid-tied solar installations and associated battery systems are sales tax exempt in Washington State.
